Preserving ourselves: Life long healthy mind

Immortality is a fantasy of a human being. The idea of immortality has stimulated the research on studying aging, and attempts are being made to slow down aging. Aging is an inevitable process. It is supposed to happen with a natural course. Time is something which we can't stop; it will go on. The truth is this body will die sooner or later, no matter who you are and what you do. But the good news is you can surely add a few more years to your life by just changing things like food, exercise good medical care, etc.

According to the world health organization, the average life expectancy of the human population was 72 years in 2016. It is more in developed countries like japan Singapore, Switzerland. While underdeveloped countries show as low as 44 years. But how much a single human being can extend its life? Recorded medical history tells us that the longest human lived up to 122 years, and there are many examples for people who lived more than 110 years. It's very much possible to extend your life up to 120 years, but it varies upon genetics and the way you conducted your life.

food should not be looked at as a mere source of energy but also as daily medicine to rejuvenate and preserve ourself…

Let's take the scenario that you are alive, healthy. All body parts functioning correctly, but just there is a small problem with your brain.

Just your memory fade away, and you don't remember anything, not even your husband/wife. Also that you were married and you don't recognize the children anymore. You don't remember if you have taken breakfast in the morning or which is your favorite TV show. And the worst nightmare would be when you even forget who you are. Think, is it worth to live with this body then? It's not this body which makes you who you are, it the memories. Its all in your memories what makes you happy and sad. People you love, Things which matters to you will vanish for you. Even you, yourself will not exist. You lose everything when you lose your memory. So next time when you think about things you want to do for slowing your aging, the preservation of your memories should be on the top of the list.

The scenario we discussed above happens with the disease like Alzheimer's. Whereas approximately 30 million people worldwide suffer from it in other words, 30 million people have already died just their bodies waiting to go to the grave.

is that the body is worth? When even you don't recognize yourself.

So the goal of living long should be not only a healthy body but also well-preserved brain, memory, and mind. What is the age for your brain? Its time that is created by your mind and is calculated around your memories. You might lose the years in the brain if you lose some memories. Of course, there are calenders and notes, and people around you will make you realize how old are you. But it's your brain that calculates the time and keeps track of time. So if you lose your mind, you might lose the years in your life.
